Food Allergy Testing

Food Allergy Care

About the Service

Comprehensive evaluation, diagnostic precision, and long-term management for patients with suspected or confirmed food allergies. We specialize in advanced testing and evidence-based treatments to help patients live safely and confidently.

Food Allergy Evaluation & Diagnosis

A detailed assessment combining clinical history with targeted diagnostic tools to accurately determine true food allergies versus food sensitivities or intolerances.

Advanced Food Allergy Testing

Utilizing skin prick testing, serum-specific IgE testing, and component-resolved diagnostics to precisely evaluate a wide range of food allergens, including nuts, dairy, eggs, shellfish, wheat, soy, fruits, and other common triggers.

Oral Food Challenges (In-Office Supervised Challenges)

When appropriate, medically supervised oral food challenges are performed to confirm or rule out true food allergies. This is the gold standard for diagnosis and is conducted with the highest safety protocols.

Food Allergy Desensitization (SLIT Program)

Our sublingual food immunotherapy (SLIT-Food) program uses highly diluted solutions prepared directly from the actual food allergen (such as peanut or milk) in a controlled and standardized way. Research shows that these real-food preparations better capture the full range of allergenic proteins compared to commercial extracts.

In SLIT-Food, a small, precise dose is placed under the tongue each day, held briefly, and then swallowed. The tissue under the tongue is rich in specialized immune cells (dendritic cells and Langerhans cells) that promote tolerance.

Unlike oral immunotherapy (OIT), which involves eating gradually larger amounts of the food, SLIT-Food uses very low doses without significant side effects. This approach produces slower but steadier desensitization with a much lower risk of systemic reactions.

With daily use, SLIT-Food raises the amount of food needed to trigger a reaction, lessens the severity of accidental exposures, and supports long-term tolerance, all while maintaining a strong safety profile.

Emergency Preparedness & Action Planning

We provide personalized food allergy action plans, education on epinephrine autoinjector use, and strategies to avoid accidental exposures at home, school, restaurants, and during travel.

Long-Term Management & Nutritional Guidance

Ongoing care to ensure proper nutrition, safe food substitution, and lifestyle planning for children and adults living with food allergies.
